The department of X-ray surgical methods of diagnosis and treatment is equipped with the interventional angiography system Siemens Artis Q.zen ceiling that is used when performing endovascular, hybrid and open cardiac surgeries. Artis Q.zen inaugurates a new detector technology based on crystalline silicon that reduces electronic noise and allows imaging at ultra-low dose levels.

The device, integrated into the operating room, combines the functions of a CT scanner and an angiograph. Thanks to this, we can get 3D-images of anatomical structures in real time, allowing the surgeon to perform the most optimal, accurate and safe surgeries. The angiography system is indispensable for transcatheter heart valve implantation as well as for the correction of congenital diseases and vascular pathology. Application programs allow for advanced visual control in percutaenous coronarography interventions, facilitating the most optimal and accurate stent implantation.

The department of diagnostic radiology is equipped with modern devices of foreign manufactures, such as Siemens AXIOM Iconos R200 universal X-ray diagnostic unit, cutting-edge MRI Siemens MAGNETOM Avanto with the landmark in 1.5T imaging and 64-slice CT system Siemens SOMATOM Sensation 64.

It’s planning to buy the new generation CT system Aquilion ONE GENESIS 640 Edition. CT has innovative technical developments that allow reducing the dose of radiation exposure to the patient, in a shorter time scanning of the patient and more detailed visualized pathological changes.

Specialists of the department of complicated cardiac arrhythmia treatment perform surgeries in the X-ray O.R, that is equipped with the most modern and unique devices, included angiographic complex Philips Allura CV20, non-fluoroscopic navigation system CARTO3 with modules «PASO», «VisiTag», «Ablation Index», complex for electrophysiological research EP WORK MAKE.

For the treatment of patients with atrial fibrillation by RFA, the protocol «CLOSE» is used as well as in European clinics dealing with the treatment of atrial fibrillation and allows to achieve 98% effective isolation of the pulmonary vein ostia.

Particular emphasis needs to be placed on that doctors working in the polyclinic department also take part in ultrasound research of patient during the heart surgery. This allows cardiovascular surgeons to perform efficiently surgeries. Due to the fact that the doctor of ultrasound diagnostic really sees intraoperatively what he diagnosed at the polyclinic stage, the specialist continuously increases his diagnostic potential. This ensures hi-quality examination of patient.

Apparatus Dräger Zeus® Infinity® Empowered (IE) provides the integration of several types of equipment for ventilation, therapy, monitoring, information management and decision support in a single device. Apparatus Zeus IE uses Target Controlled Anesthesia technology (TCA). After setting the target parameters, such as exhaled anesthetic concentration and a percentage of oxygen in the inhaled air, the Zeus IE the Zeus IE calculates the most efficient way to reach the goal, while the high-precision gas analyzers and the intelligent protection system work together to provide a higher level of patient safety. TCA can even be used in combination with a fully closed circuit, thus creating a powerful combination that can significantly reduce the consumption of expensive anesthetics. The 20-inch graphical user interface can be used to set and control ventilation, fresh gas and anesthetic dosing. The display can be configured to display additional integrated patient monitoring data. Integrated software SmartPilot View calculates and displays the depth of anesthesia on the screen. Zeus IE uses software technologies that provide support and assist in decision-making. This helps to improve the workflow and the quality of medical care. Zeus IE provides high quality of ventilation in the operating room and can be used for patients of all ages and state of severity.

Apparatus for extracorporeal membrane oxygenation Medos Deltastream® has a universal module of the centrifugal pump. Thanks to its minimal volume (16 ml) this apparatus is used for all age groups of patients (from newborns to adults), and the diagonal direction provides the necessary flow rate with less negative pressure, as well as allows to create a pulsating flow. With Medos mini.systems™ mini circuits and s.pump, the deltastream device provides optimal perfusion support during cardiac surgeries, in the postoperative period for the treatment of cardiopulmonary failure, respiratory disturbance. The safety and efficiency of all mini-circuit configurations is achieved thanks to a minimum priming volume and a smaller contact area. The centrifuge head complete with oxygenators allows device to performe extracorporeal membrane oxygenation in patients up to 14 days.

Cerebral and somatic oximetry INVOS™ performs non-invasive measurements of tissue oxygenation that allow simultaneously monitor changes in the blood oxygen saturation in the brain, skeletal muscles and other body tissues. The oximeter is used for both cerebral and somatic oximetry, or performs both types of measurements simultaneously. Technologies INVOS are used for adults, children and newborns in cardiac surgeries both on-pump and off-pump, vascular surgeries, endovascular surgeries, in all surgeries with an increased risk of impaired systemic blood flow, perfusion and ischemia of brain and other parts of the body.

Endoscopic system Einstein vision 3D Full HD is applicable for perfuming of minimally invasive surgical intervention on the mitral valve, tricuspid valve, for endoscopic harvesting of the internal thoracic artery. Volume rendering combined with the highest image quality ensures efficient, accurate and comfortable work for the surgeon. The robotic holder as a part of the system allows for quick installation of the 3D camera and easy position control from the sterile area, freeing the surgeon assistant to perform other manipulations.
